Next returns

At the beginning of June I bought online some shoes from Next which I want to return, never worn, just tried on at home. I've just checked the returns policy and it says I have to ring them within 14 days if I wish to return an item. And then I have a further 14 days in which to return the item to their store. I didn't realise this, I thought I could just take it back within 30 days. Anyone had any experience of returning stuff?

I find Next pretty sensible about this kind of thing. Just send them back, I'm sure it will be fine.

I’ve never phoned them, I didn’t know that was a thing. I just take them into store and return them.

I've never phoned when returning online orders to a store. The stores usually have a self service return box near the entrance. Just scan the items you're returning and put in the box. Get email confirmation immediately confirming the return. Or just take to the till if not confident using the box.

@BigBadJohn Is that not only if you require courier collection from your home for the returns?
I’ve returned plenty to Next over the last few months and never had to phone them at all 😊 and some have definitely been more than a couple of weeks between buying and returning!

Thanks for your messages. I took them back Thursday (didn't phone beforehand) and no problem at all.
