Gonorrhoea

Can gonorrhoea present as spotting/bleeding without any of the other symptoms such as weird discharge or uti type symptoms or pain. Also no pain during sex.

Any experts out there?

I don’t know about gonorrhoea, but if you’ve got any unexplained bleeding between periods you should get it checked out anyway.

Yes I have an appointment just wondered in advance of it.

It wouldn't be the first thing that came to my mind with those symptoms. If that was crossing my mind then I would be making a trip to a sexual health clinic

Yes I have that too.

I just wondered because I had unprotected sex 2 months ago if it can present with bleeding only.

Just to be clear, I am not replacing a mumsnet diagnosis with an actual one.

I am just trying to manage my anxiety in the interim and see if there is any likelihood

Try not to think about it until you go for your appointment. It will be investigated properly and you will receive a diagnosis and treatment. I don't think there are many people on Mumsnet who can tell you whether it could be gonorrhea or not. It wouldn't be the first thing that sprang to my mind. Could be lots of things.

It’s could be anything. The sexual health clinic will sort you out…

Gonorrhoea is easily treatable with injectable antibiotics. Just a small prick in the bum. Which ironically, is how many people get it in the first place. 😁
