Really burned out

Anyone else feel really burned out? Work in education (tertiary, not schools) 2 kids in school. 4 weeks left of term. My kids are exhausted, I am exhausted. Can literally hardly put 1 foot in front of the other. WIBU to slope off early? I can get all my work done remotely. I really feel sorry for the children. Would they miss out by just finishing the year a couple of weeks early?

Do what you need to and what is best for your family. It feels a bit like that here too, going from 0-100 year on year has been an emotional and physical rollercoaster.

Thanks. Sorry you feel like this too. Just relentless. The teachers must be feeling it too.

Yep, had a meltdown yesterday morning, and last monday morning. Juggling 5 kids, the house, school runs, working nights part time and starting teacher training in Sept. I have no idea how I'm going to manage it all when I'm so exhausted now. It's not helped with a toddler who likes to start the day at 5am. I'm trying to fit in some me time but I could use an extra day in the week. We have loads on currently so I'll be glad when school finishes, just one less thing to manage.
But I seem to get like this every year before the summer holidays 😕

Me too. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. It sounds like we need to be kind and gentle to ourselves.

I used to call it endodtermitis. Common in our house 😊

Yes, I haven't got five kids but end of term itus just about covers it.

Crocsandshocks · 28/06/2022 11:43

We are definitely suffering endodtermitis badly in our house.

The endoftermitis is utterly exhausting today. Solidarity.
