AIBU - Family

I moved a few years ago to live closer to my family. I live near several cousins and have two aunts who live nearby. My one uncle who doesn't live close by is coming to the area to visit.

AIBU to feel put out that he emailed all the family in the area except for me and then forwarded the email to me two days later, saying sorry for leaving you out of the loop while still leaving me out of the loop?

But he did mail you. You only recently moved back, could he have an old group email that you hadn't been added to? Either way I wouldn't be offended, if i wanted to see him i would, if not i wouldn't. I don't think there's any reason to be put out.

You are making a fuss about nothing. Move on.

So he first emailed the siblings who live close and then let you know the plans?

GreenWheat · 27/06/2022 07:54

Good grief. He missed you off his email list and then noticed that so sent it on. What a silly drama over nothing.

He didn't leave you out of the loop. He forgot then two days later he mailed you and also apologised. We are all only human and make mistakes. I don't think he meant any harm by it.

If this is the only family drama you have to gripe about then consider yourself extremely lucky...

Seems a bit thoughtless, how close are you?
