WWYD - flight changes and cancellations - villa booking…☹️

Villa in Majorca booked, flights booked, villa to be paid for tomorrow…except Ryanair have changed our flights.

First change, disappointing but doable, to return home one day early.
Second change, flights now also leave a day later than planned.

It is DD’s 21st and our 20 something DC’s are flying out from different airports.
My sister and her family were coming on holiday ( to a villa they have rented nearby). Their flights have been cancelled completely.

I have till tomorrow to decide to go ahead with the villa booking - 5 days but no guarantee that the flights won’t change again or be cancelled. Once I pay for the villa, there is a ‘sliding scale’ for a refund, dropping to nothing in 14 days.

Do I cancel the villa, accept the refund on flights and not go at all?

What would you do, go ahead and risk it or cancel now?

Voting - you are being unreasonable cancelling the holiday

I'd cancel and look for a package deal villa holiday I would get a full refund from if cancelled.

Cancel and rebook with more certainty at a later date.

Book on another flight when you wanted to go/come back and get the money back from Ryanair.

We are struggling to find another flight to fit the villa dates.
The family get together for DD’s 21st is already ruined.

I have looked at package holidays, they are so expensive, I suppose because we are last minute.
We can’t go at another time, even though DD would be ok with a belated celebration as my sisters children are at school.

Cancel, have a belated celebration somewhere else. Even if it is a modest one such as a lunch at a local restaurant near your home.

Unless you can find flights today.

Resolve never to fly Ryanair again.

Yes, you are right on all accounts. Celebrate here and ditch Ryanair.

There was me, so organised, all booked way ahead. I’m not sure I can cope with the uncertainty between now and then if I pay for the villa tomorrow.

I am hoping the villa owner can re let to a European family who can travel and that we don’t leave them with less income.

Do you think you will fare any better with other airlines? Easyjet are cancelling flights all over the place.
my friend’s easyjet holiday has just been cancellled for September!!

Your best bet really is a package like tui or jet 2, but I can imagine they are very expensive booking so close to the time,
