Does anybody wear a wig?

I had a pixie cut 2 weeks ago but regret cutting it. It's too short for extensions as they won't blend well, plus I've had them before and I know they can be damaging to your hair, plus a lot of money and maintenance.
I'm considering a wig, something I could have for a few months at least.
Never really worn one before but would be willing to pay more for a good quality one.
I remember trying one for a party years ago but it felt like it kept slipping down my head all night and had to keep fiddling with it.
Does anybody wear one on a regular basis and find that they stay in place, and also that they can last a few months?

Several experiences of hair loss here, so have picked up a fair bit.
You can get wigs fairly cheaply from Ebay, Amazon etc, having fun with funky styles and colours. For a more "Natural" and wearable option, the shorter styles are best. Wig liners ( Like the top of your tights!😂!) help keep it where it's supposed to be.
Do you have a sizeable West Indian community near you? Wearing wigs, or "Weaves" as they call them is commonplace and is nothing that should concern others. Their shops are always really friendly too. 😍
