Beaconsfield Services and Cobham Services

…are IDENTICAL. We’ve been to both today. It was very disconcerting. They are exactly the same, same food places in the same place, the toilets are identical.

Its quite discombobulating to do both within a couple of hours.

Not really an AIBU, more an observation.

Does Beaconsfield have that cute little playground? I think I have remembered correctly that its Cobham that does. And you can see trains go past from it. Does Beaconsfield have trains?

Yep, playground. No trains that I noticed though.

And, I didn’t go outside, but they both have a ‘lakeside terrace’.

Identikit services.

Is Cobham also rat infested with low hygiene ratings? I remember friends of mine used to drive to Beaconsfield services to eat when we were young before that news emerged 🤢

Stopped at Beaconsfield with my sons a few weeks ago, my oldest was adamant he'd been there with his dad on the way to Sussex from London. We nearly ended up rowing as he was so sure he was right and I knew he was wrong. In the end I rang his dad and it was Cobham they had stopped at!

I am embarrassed to admit that I looked at them on Google Earth and the little lakes are eerily similar.

I like Cobham services, it's our nearest Leon short of going into London. Will have to look up Beaconsfield.
It must have been very odd visiting both in one day

Omg, that explains it!! In April we were coming back from Watford and stopped at 'services'. 2 weeks ago I was coming back from Gatwick and stopped at Cobham. I tried to explain to DH that it was identical to where we stopped but couldn't be the same because I was at a different part of the M25 and he was very 'oh well' about it . I've been confused about it ever since!!

I’m happy to have cleared up any confusion!

I’ve been to Cobham loads but never to Beaconsfield before and I was AGOG. If we hadn’t already been to Cobham yesterday I’d have been really confused.
