To not like the phrase

”shares three children with his/her partner”
it’s in the press all the time now. Does anyone use it in real life? I don’t “share” my children with my husband, they’re not possessions.
is it just me? Is there a good reason this phrase is so universal now in articles?

I don’t “share” my children with my husband, they’re not possessions.

by that reasoning you can't "have" children either.

I think it has risen in popularity to differentiate between children you are both parents to and children who are from a previous relationship though.

YANBU to get irked by anything and everything you choose. But I can't see an issue with this.
