To ask what you wear in summer

I've put on some weight in the past year so I've found that some of my summer clothes aren't fitting the way they used to and I feel very self conscious (particularly of tummy area). It's a lovely day here and I've been through my wardrobe twice trying to find something decent to wear that doesn't make me feel like a potato.

What are your summer staples? I am now a 12, occasionally a 14 as opposed to a 10, occasionally a 12 like I used to be. I have two DC under the age of 6 so I need practical, comfy but also nice clothes.

Denim shorts- just above the knee (I hate short shorts) and a t-shirt.

I am a 16. Sad but true. 5'8". Today I am wearing a Seasalt patterned skirt, cool and floaty, a striped Regatta t-shirt (envelop neckband, 3/4 sleeves and flat red Hotter sandals. Looks OK, I think.

Loose cotton trousers and t shirts.
