We are in a semi detached house.

Tonight, My neighbour started cutting his hedge out the front with an electric chain saw at 6.30pm. At 9.30pm he decided he was finished. The whole time we had to have our lounge windows closed as the noise was extremely loud and we could
Not hear each other. Obviously the weather is very hot so just had to put up with it.

At 9.30, he then decided to use a leaf blower. At 9.45 he started mowing the front lawn. At 9.55 he started mowing the back lawn!

I had had enough by this time. I went out the back and politely asked him if he was nearly finished, as I thought it was a bit late to be cutting grass, and that my daughter would like to go to bed.

To be fair he was ok about it and apologised. AIBU or what? I absolutely hate confrontation of any kind but I wanted him to know how I felt as I really thought it was quite late to be doing that.

Maybe he just didn’t realise the time, he said sorry so wasn’t Arsey. I wouldn’t worry about it

Definitely too late to be so noisy. He probably lost track of time with the longer days.

Lol... I think it was probably a hedge trimmer, but 3 hours of listening to it has sent me doolally

He apologised and stopped. It’s a non-issue. If you wanted him to have stopped earlier then you needed to have asked him earlier. Sounds like he lost track of time.
