I had the surveyor out today who noted 2 slipped tiles on my roof which I hadn’t realised. He said it will be documented as a ‘2’ on the home report. He said my options are
- Get roofer out asap to fix and they will document it as a ‘1’ on the home report. I have contacted a roofer and he isn’t sure if he will be able to come out by Monday.
- They will document it as a ‘2’ on the home report with a comment stating that the defect will be fixed prior to new ownership.
I’m trying my very best to get the work done prior to the home report being finalised.
Would you be majorly put off putting an offer in on a house if you seen a ‘2’ in the home report? (This is in Scotland, not sure if HR’s are the same in England).
YABU - I would NOT be put off offering on a house if there was a ‘2’ on the home report
YANBU - I WOULD be put off offering on a house if there was a ‘2’ on the home report
