If you’re going to use it then put it where it’s meant to go at the TOP of your post.

Many people read from their mobiles and it’s annoying to scroll through a load of waffle then get to this at the end. What’s the point? Even reading on a laptop it’s still pointless putting it at the bottom.

You're right but that's because it's usually an afterthought. Once you have it down on the screen, you can usually think of the summary.

I don't know what it means anyway but have seen it around.

Why? If it’s at the bottom it’s redundant.

I just think either be more concise with your posts or just accept not everyone will read them.

I thought the whole point was that if you start to read something, then realise it's a bit long but you still want to get the gist of it you scroll quickly through the bulk of it and see the TL:DR at the bottom as in 'If that was too long and you didn't read it, then here's a precis'. Otherwise it's not 'didn't read', it's 'don't bother reading'.

No it’s not a spoiler if it’s at the top. By the time most people find it at the bottom they’ve already read most of it so it’s pointless. It could probably be renamed as: Fuck this it’s way too long and I cba to read!

If it's at the bottom it does rather defeat the object. I don't think it gives the game away at the top. It creates intrigue and is an invitation to find out more.
