My daughter has suddenly sprung on me that she's been invited to a party this Saturday. She's supposed to be at her dads so I have made arrangements to visit a friend and will be staying there. This is important as I rarely get any social life and life is hard at the moment, in no small part due to 14 year old DDs behaviour.
I said I wasn't happy about it at all but she is with her dad so if he is going to let her then on his head be it and he can deal with the fall out. She has form for getting herself in sticky situations and then suddenly phoning me and demanding I come get her.
It then turns out it's at some girls house I've literally never heard of before and her dad has said she can stay there. On further questioning it seems it's just this girl, her boyfriend and a boy my daughter fancies going (who covered her in love bites when she went out with him for a couple of hours after school the other day). I asked daughter to get this girls mum to call me/text me to confirm there will be supervising and she refused. Her dad also won't be around if needed as he lives an hour and a half away so was just going to drop her off and leave her there. Am I being unreasonable to think this is not ok? She's literally just 14 last week.
