Gym-honed hitmaker does some flaunting

AIBU to think no-one other than the tabloid press use the terms “gym-honed” and “hitmaker”.

Also, what’s the difference between walking in the street wearing clothes and “flaunting” my (gym-honed) figure?

Don’t forget the Daily Mail always harking on about ‘showcasing curves’ and ‘flaunting enviable xyz ’ if a woman so much as has the audacity to be wearing a frock in public 🙄.

Absolute dicks.

There are other news outlets aside from MailOnline (for it is them of whom you speak) who write proper descriptions instead of the same daily rehashed verbal tropes

conversely, having written for some outlets like Mail years ago, it gets tougher to find ways to describe the same thing. The inventiveness of it all has become a bit of a brand trademark for the Mail; see also “leggy display”, “toned pins” etc

Crisis talks.

When a celebrity couple are having difficulties, the tabloids often talk about them 'holding crisis talks'. It always makes me picture them at opposite ends of a boardroom table surrounded by staff.
