Not been paid my UC

Has anyone had a missed UC payment? And if so how long until it was sorted?

My UC was due to be paid today but wasn't. I was worried yesterday as there was no pending payment showing and there still isn't. I phoned up today and they said they would pass it to a case manager - but that is what they always say and usually nothing happens. I have no 'commitments' or whatever they are so it can't be that. Luckily I get paid twice a month as I would be even more screwed if it was only monthly. I needed to get groceries today and I have bills coming out tomorrow. I'm worried sick this will not be resolved quickly. I don't have good experience of them sorting things - it usually takes at least many months if not years.

Is your statement showing?

Pinkandpurplehairedlady · 22/06/2022 19:46

They are normally quite quick at getting payments sorted so hopefully you will hear from them tomorrow. Have you had any changes or circumstances?

Gooseberrypies · 22/06/2022 19:48

If you were meant to get paid today you should have had a statement a few days ago, did you not query it then?

headintheclouds123 · 22/06/2022 19:49

Have you reported a change of circumstances recently?

Willyoujustbequiet · 22/06/2022 20:11

Your statement you got a few days ago would have explained.

The bit under payments? Yes, it says it should have been paid today.

I had this last week. My statement was due Tuesday to tell me how much I was getting. It had arrived so I called. They told me to call back the Friday the day payment was due if it hadn't come in. I did so and it was passed to a case manager. Thankfully in my case they sorted it and I got the payment about 6pm. Have you had Junes statement to say how much you are getting?

TheGirlWithTheBook · 22/06/2022 21:17

I get the same amount every time. Would it be showing on my banking app as pending now if it was coming tomorrow? I phoned at 9 this morning. I really hope they aren't just going to mess me around again.

I know you said you receive the same every month but have you received your statement yet?

Preeeettyprettygood · 23/06/2022 10:01

It completely depends why you haven't been paid, have you received your statement, that appears 7 days before your pay date, if it's not showing your latest AP then there will be a reason why.
A handover will have been passed to your CM and they should respond to it usually quite quickly

Preeeettyprettygood · 23/06/2022 10:03

If you haven't changed bank details then there is probably something blocking your payment. Also leave a message on your journal incase it does get picked up

AmberGer · 23/06/2022 10:04

Ffs, she has had her statement! Read her replies!

needtochill · 23/06/2022 10:36

If you have received your June statement then the payment should have been realeased to you. Have you contacted your bank to check if there is a problem their end?
