Suds left in washing machine

Does anyone else have some foam/ suds left at the end of a cycle? I always have to do an extra one or two rinses and spin cycles and even then new bubbles or light foam will appear.

It doesn’t happen if I do an empty cycle so there’s nothing blocked or built up.
I don’t use too much washing liquid.

I live in a soft water area. So it could be that. Any ideas? Is the little bit of foam still at the end of a cycle normal and is it enough to harm clothes by left in soap residue? I do worry it’s making eczema worse but not sure.

Do you use fabric conditioner? Because that kills suds.

Soft water area here and have never had this. Try witching to powder as it’s less ‘sudsy’

You say you don't use too much washing liquid, but with soft water you need very very little. Cut it back drastically & see how it goes.

Yes I do. I have a new 7kg washing machine and put in one pod. My washing machine only seems to do one rinse cycle though, my old on did three and it took as long as the wash. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the machine supposedly being more energy efficient?

I've gone back to using washing power for some washes and putting in the recommended dose for the 5 kg machine instead.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don’t use fabric softener just because of skin issues but that’s interesting to know.
Will try the other ideas thanks.
