So, this morning my DH said the socks that I put out for my DS we’re a bit wet (yes I put their outfits out as I work on a Sunday), he said if he did it they would be ready and not wet, he doesn’t do it though, he wouldn’t even have any socks if it wasn’t for me.

He is so lazy and I am fed up of it. He has lay on the sofa most of this morning whilst I make the kids breakfasts etc. I know its Father’s Day but it is every bloody day!

just needed a moan

So don’t put up with it

CrumpetStrumpet · 19/06/2022 09:50

Shove the socks up his arse.

You don't have to live like this.

TabithaTittlemouse · 19/06/2022 09:51

How old are the children?
why would you put wet socks out?
why can’t Dh get the clothes out?

Fulbe · 19/06/2022 09:51

Can't he get socks out of the sock drawer?!

ifoundthebread · 19/06/2022 09:52

I know some people struggle with dress sense but surely he is more than capable of getting a clean pair of socks out of a drawer? Are you his partner or maid.

Gliblet · 19/06/2022 09:53

And what does he say when you point out that slightly damp is better than nothing?

I mean, you don't just keep quiet and put up with this nonsense do you?

IncompleteSenten · 19/06/2022 09:54

The only answer to that is great, thanks for volunteering. You are in charge of socks from now on.

SinnermanGirl · 19/06/2022 09:54

Moan away, I’m sore you do far more than your share. Then think about what you need to have a happier existence. You don’t have to settle for being unhappy.

Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 09:56

They felt dry to me I just grabbed them straight from the maiden to save going upstairs.

OP posts:
Babdoc · 19/06/2022 09:58

Well the answer is obvious - stop being his and the DC’s valet and nursery maid, and tell them to get their own bloody socks in future.

Thehop · 19/06/2022 10:00

He can get different ones surely?

what’s the point of him? He sounds like a drain.

FrancescaContini · 19/06/2022 10:01

I don’t know why so many women put up with these deliberately incompetent man-babies. How do you ever have sex with them again once they’ve shown you that they can’t manage dealing with wet socks?

Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 10:13

His mum used to do literally everything for him. I should have read the signs, stupid woman!

and then he says I am constantly moaning, which I am, I don’t like him!

OP posts:
Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 10:13

He moans about the lack of sex too

OP posts:
Costacoffeeplease · 19/06/2022 11:32

Cos not being able to sort out socks is so sexy isn’t it?

Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 12:05

Absolutely, makes me want to rip his clothes off 🙄

Not the point of the thread I know, but I hope your DS is aged under about 5, otherwise please stop putting clothes out for him and don't give him the idea that a woman will do everything for him or you will just perpetuate this nonsense.

IsDaveThere · 19/06/2022 12:13

If you don't like him, then leave him.

Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 12:18

He is 18 months haha

Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 12:19

If I moan enough will things change?

If I moan enough will things change?

I think you know the answer to that really don't you?
You admit you don't like him, sounds like sex isn't great and he appears to bring little to the party in terms of support so the real question needs to be "what are you going to do about it?"

Coffeeplease30 · 19/06/2022 12:37

Sometimes I wonder if it is me. Everybody loves him and he is such a nice guy, can you be a really nice guy and be like this?

OP posts:
Ugzbugz · 19/06/2022 12:57

You are behaving like his mum and treating him like a kid. He can get your sons clothes out and no wonder you don't want to have sex with him as its more like a mother relationship with him.

iklboo · 19/06/2022 12:59

He doesn't respect you. To him you're Mum2.

Snoozer11 · 19/06/2022 13:01

So if you didn't get the clothes out would they be in their pyjamas all day?

Or would he get the clothes and dress them, but later/slower than you would like?
