To wear a t shirt underneath a slip dress

Jusr that really. In the last couple of years I seem to have acquired a few black slip dresses. Back in the day, I wore these over a black or white tee. I would like to do the same again, but would it just look too nineties/or is it just not a thing people do now?

It was good enough for us in the 90’s so why not now?

Go for it. Classic 90s look and the 90s are very much in. Find yourself an Evan Dando lookalike as the perfect accessory.

I'm old and I still like to wear pretty dresses but don't want lots of flesh on show so I often wear a white, beige or black fitted t shirt under a dress.

I find it looks quite youthful on me.

Saw lots of people in a town in the SW today doing it. It looked really good. Made me nostalgic for Dawson Creek though!

Thanks everyone. That's great news! I'm very excited now to wear my slip dresses. It's a nice look but when you're a bit older wearing a tee is a good way of not showing too much flesh.

I do it all the time... my arms and shoulders aren't up to being shown off!

No fashion choices are unreasonable (except those that include profanity or indecency)

personally, i hate this look, but its not unreasonable for others to like it

@RevoItingHumanHead I had to google Evan Dando - and discovered my dh is a much better looking version of him so I already have the accessory 😁
