So DH & DD;s have not been on holiday for a long time. We've not had a good couple of years and just wanted to relax away from all the pressures of life..! Booked out hols abroad and are having a nightmare. Firstly airplane company cancelled our flights so tried to book again with a different company (no other flights available for dates we wanted from original company). When booking it looked like it hadn't gone through as no booking screen came up after payment. Stupidly I didn't check with the cc company and tried again to re-book - major mistake. 3rd time lucky booked mine and my daughters tickets, then husband and other dd on the same flights (in order to save money on luggage - we don't need 4 suitcases so did one booking with hold luggage and one with hand luggage. Checked cc this morning - one week later and it seems original booking went though along with everything else. Phoned airline who are refusing to refund (we will be out of pocket by £1600) as the mistake wasn't noticed within 24 hours. On our side BA only sent 2 email bookings not 3 and only sent that through this morning when queried. I know I was stupid but is there anything I can do? BA do not want to know.
