I want to kick DH out of the bedroom

He has gone for a nap. Which is fine we woke early and he has had a fucker of a week at work.

But when he arrived for his nap. I was in the en-suite shaving my legs and about to start sorting through my clothes in preparation for a rare night out together tonight. He said he was going to have a rest but I should get on with whatever I was doing (he didn't know,). I have left him to it as it is not feasible to start tossing the contents of my wardrobe on the bed and trying things on, while he is trying to get 40 winks in.

I was going to put some music on, try stuff, try not to get bogged down in how old I am (48 2 days ago). Find my make up, clumsily apply it etc. I had a plan and now it is delayed for nap time ...

I have not gone out out for a while and we rarely go out together. A big part of the fun for me is deciding what to wear and taking my time. We are walking to the next village for our meal and that takes about an hour and booking is 6.45 so not that long away really.

So I will do my nails while he zzzz's I suppose. I

Have you got a spare room? Just take your things in there or boot him to the spare room so you can get ready, or just do as you planned, he did say to just carry on with whatever you were doing

FlemCandango · 18/06/2022 14:33

I haven't got a spare room and the downstairs is open plan so unless I turf a teenager out of one of their pits (nope)... I think it is one of those occasions where I am out of sorts but I can't really blame anyone. DH would let me turf him out or work round him but I would feel bad / self conscious which would drain the fun out. So I will do my nails and give him an hour snooze time. I am grumpy anyway as I had a shit work week as well, and I have started my period 9 days early so have decided I must be menopausal and I will have to take pads etc and string pain killers on my rare night out.

Poor me 🤣 got the world's tiniest violin playing ...

Do you have neutral nail colour? Or a colour that goes with more than one dress?

Christ, I'd arrive looking like a ball of sweat and make up like Alice Cooper 😂

Lol we will take our time and as make up for me usually is concealer and moisturiser I won't have loads on, bit of mascara to have visible eyelashes and some colour on my lids.

Currently I have 4 different nail colours on as an "experiment" and it looks like a toddler did them so great start
