Thinking neighbour should not have started fire

Neighbour across the back has had a garden fire the last few evenings.
Today I swapped my first load of washing to hang out my bedding at 2pm. Came back just after 3 to find the neighbour has lit a fire & my bedding now has to be rewashed. I was really looking forward to sleeping in my line dried bedding tonight.
Surely it's common sense, & more neighbourly to wait till the evening to light a garden fire.

Why do people burn stuff? It's polluting and anti social

No way - surely evening is worse when more people will be home from work and wanting to enjoy their gardens?

If they're a nearby neighbour, and especially if they change the times of day of the fires, just knock and ask them to let you know beforehand next time.
