Ah I can't go on like this

Had my beautiful girl 5 months ago

3 months ago periods came back and for two weeks a month I am in utter agony

Been to doctor he is referring me on

From ovulation. To period
The pain in my stomach
I'm binge eating
Headaches
Backache

I just can't function
I can barely walk

I have asked about the coil and that he said can be explored later

How do I manage in the mean time
I'm 5 stone overweight so working on shifting the. Baby weight and he won't put me on the pill as a result

Are there strong well know. And well researched vitamins I can get?
I can't go on this way
The low mood is dragging me so far down
Now Intrusive thoughts are In the mix as if it wasn't bad enough

Single parent of two wonderful girls but I just can't go on this way

Please any any ideas please send my way

Google them.

You order it through the website and then a healthcare professional checks your answers to the questions, texts you, and sends it in the post. Here's the link. You can find out more about them on their website. They're funded by the NHS

Ask for a second opinion on the coil. Unless he’s given a good reason for why not now(?) then ‘maybe later’ when you’ve specifically asked for it is out of order.

Are you in any pain relief? If so it doesn’t sound like it’s helping and so I’d go back to the doctor about other options there too.

The intrusive thoughts are a whole other issue that CBT could really help with. Have you had support for things like that before?

So overall: back to the GP and deal with the three things completely separately. Don’t let them rush you, book a double appointment if necessary.

Queenie6655 · 16/06/2022 08:30

Thanks so much

Yes true

He didn't see the urgency

When I can't really function properly for two weeks per month

Why don't they get this

Go to a family planning clinic they will fit the coil for you there and then!

HappyCup · 16/06/2022 08:40

It’s so frustrating isn’t it? Easier said than done but if you have anyone available then I recommend taken them along to the appointment to help advocate for you. Or if not then schedule some self care to reward yourself afterwards. It gets exhausting fighting for your own basic healthcare.

Queenie6655 · 16/06/2022 08:41

I does right !!!

I just wish that I could find a way to deal with this

HappyCup · 16/06/2022 08:45

You will, you’ll get there and look back on this and be proud of yourself for getting through it. I appreciate that the slog to getting there is an additional pain though. My advice is to call the GP today and get the ball rolling.

Queenie6655 · 16/06/2022 09:06

Yes thanks all

I will do

Not much help I know. But get the covid jab if you haven't already. The first jab messed up my periods the second jab completely stopped them. 8 months so far and my gp said its all he's hearing, its happening to more and more women.

Queenie6655 · 16/06/2022 21:12

Jabbed fully and this def did not happen here

Total agony I can not live this way

OP posts:
Whatsonmymindgrapes · 16/06/2022 21:29

Could be PMDD. Have you looked into that?

Queenie6655 · 16/06/2022 21:29

Yes it seems like it is

Anyone had any success testing this?

I tick all the boxes

Just utter hell right now

OP posts:
BaaCake · 16/06/2022 21:31

Did he give any reason for not having a coil fitted? If not then see another doctor.

Queenie6655 · 16/06/2022 21:55

No he didn't

Wonder will it help

Or should I just go on the pill

It is utter hell and I don't think menstuation problems are taken seriously

Madness isn't it
