AIBU to ask how to get paint off my hair?

I painted a bathroom last week, and I've just noticed that it wasn't just the bathroom that I painted. I've got a patch of painted hair-ends. I've washed my hair several times since I did the painting, so it's not coming off with just washing. It's Farrow and Ball modern emulsion (water-resistant, and for heavier-traffic areas, so it's probably a bit more likely to stick than some paints). Any ideas please?

oil should shift it. cheap cooking oil would do.
then shampoo it out thoroughly

Scissors?

Oil? Gosh. OK - off to try that ...

Scissors?

LOL. With some styles, yes, but I had my quite short style done recently, and there's not much left to cut.

Meths or high alcohol hand sanitiser if you have any.

KirstenBlest · 15/06/2022 14:12

if it's only on the ends, oil only the ends
A 'clarifying' shampoo is probably best

I use cooking oil to shift paint off my skin if I'm painting

OK, I've tried oil, which did nothing. Hand sanitiser (I think it's high alcohol) did nothing. Meths seemed to remove a little bit.

I think it's probably the fact that it's paint suitable for bathrooms that's the problem - that stuff is supposed to be tough.

Now washed, and the meths got about half of it off. Thanks for that tip Yodaisawally.

Oh, it has worked for me in the past but it was regular emulsion and vosene

Acetone should get it off
