Club Mac Alcudia drinks are freeeeeeee

Sorry. I’ll remove myself and think about what I have done.

Starlightstarbright1 · 14/06/2022 20:10

I am following looked a couple of times but been put off by food reviews

Babyroobs · 14/06/2022 20:10

We went there many years ago ( maybe 2010 ? ) with four young kids. Ds 2 had sickness bug whilst there and ds1 very ill on the plane coming home. Ds3 slipped in the dining room in another child's pile of vomit and I had to leave dinner to take him to the room to get showered. Sorry not painting the place in a very good light am I? Hopefully might have improved. I don't remember the food being bad although it was our first AI experience but I do remember lots of people being ill.

Oh Jesus 🙈
I booked this place because I was knackered and stressed and couldn't think of anything worse than self
Catering and handing out endless tenners for snacks when all I want to do is drink wine, swim
And forget about the last three years !
Single man of three teens.
They're not fussy. Neither am
I but could do without being poisoned 🙈

This was many years ago. I'm sure it may have changed now. Sorry shouldn't have mentioned it, I wouldn't have done if you had said you had already booked. Your post sounded like you were just considering it. Sorry .

Just read about 20 recent reviews on Tripadvisor.
Everyone says that food is fine.

TheVolturi · 14/06/2022 20:20

Well teens should be able to look after themselves at least if the worst happens and you are unwell.

FatPatsCat · 14/06/2022 20:30

I went about 8ish years ago and loved it, food was lovely!

gabsdot45 · 14/06/2022 20:52

We went there in 2017

Good points
The food was great
The entertainment was also great
There are lots of nice places to visit nearby
The waterpark next door is great
The pools are nice

Bad points
Very uncomfortable beds and basic rooms. They didn't supply soap
Even though it was all inclusive there were loads of things to pay for. Loads of the kids entertainment cost money, we spent way more money than we had planned to. We felt we were being gauged for money constantly
It's really big and busy. Around 4000 people Impossible to make friends. We bumped into a school friend of DS on one of our first days and literally never saw them again.
Finally, it was very Brits abroad. that's probably just Spain though. It was a rough crowd at times.
I read a review after our holiday which said "it's as if Jeremy Kyle bought a hotel".
That sums it up really.

onepieceoflollipop · 14/06/2022 20:56

We went about 8 years ago and it was fine.
not gourmet but fine and plenty of choice.
it was a bigger resort than I would have chosen (dh booked it) but the weather was lush, they had alcoholic slushies, and Micky and Misha were popular (cartoon characters)

manchesterpost · 14/06/2022 20:56

Oh god!! I'm Irish . Brits abroad terrifies me ...( way too much reality tv )
Just wanted to sleep, go to water park, drink endless wine and cocktails , decent healthy ish food and not move .
I've told them to bring spends for any hire or shopping .
I'm be heading to the pharmacy to stock up.
That and a boat trip is about as much cash as I'm willing to part with

we had waterpark passes as part of our package, our dcs were quite small so didn’t get the value from them but for slightly older children would be fab

manchesterpost · 14/06/2022 20:57

I love a good water park !

gabsdot45 · 14/06/2022 20:58

I'm Irish too. LOL.

onepieceoflollipop · 14/06/2022 20:58

Oh if you’ve got teens I think they will like it unless you or they are super fussy

manchesterpost · 14/06/2022 20:58

Hiidropark I believe

You’ll have a great time. Forget about the reviews. Alcudia is gorgeous.

manchesterpost · 14/06/2022 20:59

I am Zero fussy 🤣

OP posts:
onepieceoflollipop · 14/06/2022 20:59

Often (as you probably know) a one off entry to a water park is expensive but if you buy a package with extra days it is loads cheaper. It’s literally over the road moments away from Club Mac

gabsdot45 · 14/06/2022 21:01

We found a lovely pub nearby and we used to go there most evenings. It's on the shore of a man made lake, about 5 minutes walk away.
Also they'll try to flog you tickets to a pirates show in Magaluf. Don't bother. It's a good show but not worry the money.
I'd recommend visiting old town of Alcudia and Palma.

onepieceoflollipop · 14/06/2022 21:03

Yes the Hidropark.
also not that your teens will care I got the characters’ names wrong. It is Macky not Micky 😔

manchesterpost · 14/06/2022 21:05

This is a part of our package z it was so cheap... I did wonder ...

SommerTen · 14/06/2022 21:06

The beach of Alcudia is beautiful, sandy & safe for swimming...

manchesterpost · 14/06/2022 21:13

Thanks
