I've read a few posts today that disappeared.
Are they all trolls? Ffs I fell for one!

Generally if it’s something which makes you get worked up and want to reply straight away or some times plain bizarre or lots of awful spelling/grammar mistakes.

Absolutely! I saw a post about someone saying that they thought they were entitled to talking in the cinema and spilling popcorn on people haha! which ones have you seen? Xx

I always end up missing the good ones

I got a vibe off the one on the maternity hospital ward. It was of course a 'forriner,, who was the villan who was not speaking English and cheeky fuckery beyond belief, blasting music, and loud phone calls on loud speaker as well as eating smelly food at 1am.

I've reported a couple and just had MNHQ tell me I'm wrong and they think they're legit! Won't bother in future

I think loads of us have stopped reporting because

a) MN can't guarantee they'll keep your data secure

b) 90% of the time you get the fuck off pills and they don't take any notice of the glaring ludicrousness, well not until pages later when it's crashingly ridiculously obvious it is indeed a fucking fake-arse poster and the thread goes poof with no explanation

Apart from the smelly food at 1pm the other comments re the maternity ward fit in exactly with my DD's experience last week

MNHQ are not interested in outing trolls.
It's all free content for their business model, & as far as they're concerned, the frothier the better.

Don't see it's much different from normal.

As rule of thumb:
Something where they're clearly being written to get everyone indignant against them=troll
Something where they're written from the poor hardworking person against a CF, especially when you get regular updates = troll
Anything with bodily functions = troll
Anything which spills into a second cheerleading thread = troll
Anything where the person "really honestly doesn't want money but they've only got tuppence ha'penny and they can't do any of the reasonable suggestions = troll
Anything with a long winded OP with "let's call them A/Sarah/something else" = troll
Anything that MNHQ take down "just checking behind the scenes" = troll
etc

So about 3/4 of the threads in AIBU and 1/2 in Chat.

I'm sorry but this is nonsense! So nobody can post on mn to ask for budgeting advice without being after money or being a troll?
You've made some rather broad generalisations there! A couple of them describe situations I've genuinely been in myself!

I think I can normally tell who's a troll but I had a thread the other day where I got absolutely crucified on here and called the worst names, troll was thrown in, and I can see how it could be appeared that way but honestly it was real. It was removed in the end which probably added fuel to it appearing a troll but it was because I asked for it to be removed.

The manchester tram. I replied to that as well and then realised.

I make constant spelling and grammar mistakes.

I have over the decades + had many issues , funny or desperate that have sent MN into a frenzy?

I think unless it's about a really serious subject like child abuse etc people are in a troll fenzy here.

In fact some wonderful funny light hearted threads have been absolutely shouted down by thread frenzy people!

There is another chat on a different site devoted to MN troll's! It's that paranoid.

Apparently one of the glitches of the new platform is that previously banned posters are now able to register again (using their banned emails). I read it on the other site.

So it is hardly any wonder there are so many troll threads, it's open season if they've no way of keeping track of PBPs.

It's got really fucking old now.
