Profiteering

Myself and the wife are in our 60,s old enough to remember the `1970's inflation.
She has retired after 47 years in a major supermarket, and I have spent many years in retail.
The simple fact of the matter is that in extreme times like these supermarkets oil companies and businesses always try to turn the situation to their advantage.
They are after all, in business to make money!
Take a look at their end of year profits, and see how much the bosses are paid.
Yes, there are many genuine reasons for rising costs and prices, but anyone in business will always add a little bit more on for themselves - when did you ever see a poor farmer?
Farming is big business, not real farming as it used to be. Opec keeps oil production down because it means higher profits for them.
This government, or any other, will do as little as possible about petrol prices because it means massive extra tax and Vat receipts for them.
So, profiteering all round.
Stay safe folks
