To say that this is 'unnatural'?

SIL and BIL have gone on a holiday abroad, leaving their kids (aged 5-8) in the care of a friend. Not sure for how long they will be away but it is already a few days now (we only knew about this when the person taking care of the kids, who is also a friend of DW, posted it on social media - SIL and BIL have also posted pics of themselves at a resort).

Had an argument with DW who says that it is unnatural for them to do this (go on holiday and leave kids in England) on the grounds that it will have a negative effect on the kids. What do you guys think? Is it fair to describe this as being 'unnatural'?

YABU - It is unnatural for them to do this
YANBU - People do this all the time
