To attend hospital pregnancy ultrasound with fungal rash?

GP prescribed anti-fungal cream around a week ago for a rash on my upper body (torso/ breasts/upper arms).
I've had the rash for around 3 weeks now, and have been using the cream for around 1 week.

No one else in my home has contracted it despite being in close bodily contact with DH and DS. At first we were still sharing towels etc as I believed it was eczema (suffered my whole life with flare ups) so I'm pretty sure whatever type of rash this is, it's not contagious.

Im currently pregnant and due to attend an anomaly scan at the hospital next week. Given the fact I've started treatment and it hasn't been contagious, AIBU to still attend my ultrasound appointment?

Have you tried contacting your midwife or the hospital/ health centre that you’ll be having the ultrasound at?

This shouldn't be an issue, keep your appointment

Phone the department and take advice from them

Ask the hospital/clinic. It could be unwise if the gel or scanner might irritate the rash or, equally, the fungal rash might spread to more areas if it's pushed around in a damp environment all over your abdomen. They might have to take extra measures (like gloves or something) to prevent it spreading to the sonographer. Not being a medical professional, I don't know what the implications are - so speak to the team and find out.

It's fine, go to your appointment.

I'll be sure to contact the hospital and ask them, think I was just worried they might say no and I'll miss the cut off 😰
