My toddler, no. A violent stranger, yes.

vodkaredbullgirl · 08/06/2022 15:00
Hmm
BlanketsBanned · 08/06/2022 15:00

Whats the context, kids, adults, self defence, unprovoked attack. Any injury, do you need medical help.

Kedece2410 · 08/06/2022 15:00

Would depend on various factors.

Bit more info might be an idea

MintJulia · 08/06/2022 15:02

It depends. Was it on purpose or an accident? Someone over the age of 10? Is there a bruise, ie evidence? Is there likely to be cctv - petrol station, town centre or someone's back garden.

What prompted the kick?

Inkyblue123 · 08/06/2022 15:06

Context needed

PutinIsAWarCriminal · 08/06/2022 15:13

Was it your partner @Goingouttonight?

RebeccaCloud9 · 08/06/2022 15:13

Exactly what the first person said. Depends who, and the context.

Dalekjastninerels · 08/06/2022 15:16

Yes more information needed

Two year kicks you no police, adult kicks you police.

Namechangehereandnow · 08/06/2022 15:21

Who did you kick?? And why??

ilovesooty · 08/06/2022 15:22

Without context it's impossible to say.

TeeBee · 08/06/2022 15:23

I'd just kick them back harder. Wasting your time with the police.

KatherineJaneway · 08/06/2022 15:57

Depends on the context really

kittensinthekitchen · 08/06/2022 16:11

Yeah, you're gonna need to give a bit more here, @Goingouttonight

Greensleeves · 08/06/2022 16:12

Depends on who they are and what the circumstances were. There isn't one answer, it's too broad a question.

PurpleDaisies · 08/06/2022 16:13

This is impossible to answer without context

carefullycourageous · 08/06/2022 16:17

It depends on:

  • who they are

  • what the situation was

  • what you want to get from telling the police

If my kid kicked me, no I wouldn't. If a stranger kicked me, I might.

mrsm43s · 08/06/2022 16:37

Toddler kicking me - no
Someone kicking me accidentally - no
Someone tapping my leg out of the way with their foot (or similar) without undue force and causing me no harm or significant pain - no
An adult holding me down and violently kicking me as an act of aggression - yes.
An adult deliberately wounding me or causing me pain by kicking - yes.
More context needed

Herejustforthisone · 08/06/2022 16:38

A horse, no. A child, no. My partner, yes. A stranger, yes.

vodkaredbullgirl · 08/06/2022 16:57

Another cryptic post.

ghostyslovesheets · 08/06/2022 17:07

report to who?

Context is everything - child, donkey some of the young people I work with - no not to the police

random person in the street - partner - yes

kittensinthekitchen · 08/06/2022 17:19

report to who?

Confused
XmasElf10 · 08/06/2022 17:21

If an accident or a kid then no. If it was an adult with malice then absolutely yes. I reported someone to the police the other day for spitting on me which is also considered an assault.

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/06/2022 07:07

Nice to see op came back.

araiwa · 09/06/2022 07:23

100% yes always

I got the entire opposition football team hauled off to jail and we won
