It's true that the royal men age badly. I think it's partly the hair loss and the prominent teeth.

They certainly age badly but they were never attractive to start with IMHO. There’s not one I would touch with a 10 foot pole.

Bad genes.

Oh come on, please, even Princess Anne would have difficulty recognising herself in that photo. It's a nice photo, a tribute to the photographer's art.

Viscount Severn will be gorgeous when he's older.

Lady Louise is stunning too, once she gets a stylist she'll be out there.

I don't want to be a cow about an 18 year old m! But Lady Louise really needs to consult a stylist. Or even a day out shopping with Zara, Beatrice or Eugenie.

If I was a 20 something in 1930s/40s a Prince Prince Philip would definitely been on my bedroom wall. Of the siblings Prince Andrew and Princess Anne were the best looking IMO.

He looks like a worm with a face now.

Does he? 🤣

I'll never forget what my English teacher at sixth fork told us about him. They were are Cambridge together and Edward used to attend the college balls, but sit in his car and get his bodyguards/protection people to go out and look for girls and bring them back to his car so he could kiss them

GrinGrinConfusedConfused

That makes him sound like such a drippy old fuddy duddy.

‘Ooooh I’d like to have a pash session with a nice young filly. I’ll send Jeeves out to retrieve one and then I can press my posh wet lips against hers and maybe feel a boobie. Oh golly, how exciting!’

Poor old Fenellas and Francescas who got roped into those dull encounters. I bet the car was never a-rockin’

SabrePrattler · 08/06/2022 11:01

I'd forgotten how good looking William was for a 6 month period there in his late teens. But those Windsor genes will always triumph.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 08/06/2022 11:12

Not sure about Edward but I think Prince Philip was gorgeous when he was young.

Greenginghamdress · 08/06/2022 11:16

I've never seen those photos of edward. He is very handsome then. Another vote for young Prince Philip here too.

Both Harry and William are good looking men.

I've never seen it about Charles, even in photos from 40/50 years ago.

Greenginghamdress · 08/06/2022 11:19

@BurnDownTheDiscoHangTheDJ That Adrian Mole quote took me right back! 😊

ObjectionHearsay · 08/06/2022 11:57

I am relieved to know me finding a young Prince Phillip attractive isn't as odd as I thought it was 😂

hangrylady · 08/06/2022 12:14

The only one who isn't aging badly is Harry but that's not surprising if the rumours are to be believed! I think the problem they have is when the hair starts to go, they can't just give up and shave it off like normal blokes, so they're stuck with it at the sides and bald on top which is the worst look ever and very aging. Never seen a Royal with a skinhead!

William is very Spencer to me. His mother in male form. It was losing his hair that did for him. He has a nice body, but from the neck up he's nothing special.

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 08/06/2022 12:19

If you like the Tim Nice But Dim type.

He just looks like any other inbred toff to me 😝

Is that really Anne, don't remember her ever looking like that?!

I had a poster of (young) Edward by my bed in my teens Grin

If you look up her 21st birthday and engagement photos she was really stunning. We met her at an official do in the early 1980s, she would have been in her 30s and we were all so envious of her skin (and her copper). Apparently she wears clothes from 30 years ago, she once said that a good suit never dates, wish I could get a leg into my frocks from 30 years ago!

MinglingFlamingo · 08/06/2022 13:54

This is the picture I always think of when I think of a young Princess Anne. She looks like a model in this picture with her Dad back in the 60s/70s

I've been to a May ball he was at, and he definitely wasn't in his car. I was dancing next to him! I don't remember him being particularly attractive in the flesh tbh.

I agree she could do with a glow-up - but not with Beatrice and Eugenie who t this day have never worn a flattering outfit!

LadyEloise1 · 08/06/2022 15:41

I'm surprised W didn't use Rogaine or similar. He really was so handsome.

I suppose you're right, he does take after his mother. Once the hair decided to up and leave and the teeth seemed to become...toothier, he just looked like a totally different person. Such a dramatic change.

Edward was lovely but I agree with pps about young Prince Philip. He was very handsome.

I think Anne was always going to be a beautiful woman, which she was/is in my opinion.

The young queen was beautiful plus prince Phillip was a looker, and she seemed to get the best of them both.

The boys sort of vary in who they have taken to look like.

Mumsnut · 08/06/2022 16:09

PE came to a party some friends and I gave at Cambridge, and he interacted perfectly normally.

If you look at a young Charles and Harry side by side I don’t think there’s much doubt t who his father is.

I always thought the pedo one (Edward?) was good looking. William too. When young. Lots of the men are handsome tbf.

Sorry, for the avoidance of doubt I meant it’s obvious Prince Charles is his father! Aside from the hair colour, their facial features are very similar.
