i recently put a post on the products page asking for pushchair advice

admittedly i have had a few although i sell them before i buy a new one (prob 2nd hand) and am not hurting anyone

i wanted advice on which to get for a new born as dd is 2 now and have just found out i am expecting and the pushchair we have for her is not suitable from birth

have had no replies appart from two people calling me odd and complaining that i havent saved one from my other kids ( i did not think we would be havong a third)

aibu to be a little offended i prob am it will be my hormones but i it was a simple questions if you are not interested dont read it but don;t be rude and name call!!

No, yanbu. People are currently in a backlash against the 'buggy addicts' who do populate the for sale boards (Ok, I have 14 pushchairs, also mostly second hand) but it isn't fair for people to have a go at you for asking a perfectly reasonable question. I will now go and answer your question on the other thread if I can find it

{hug}

YANBU, some people need to learn the meaning of the word tact. Don't worry about it.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/01/2008 09:59

hmmm just read the thread and while i do see where you're coming from and ive seen it happen sometimes, i dont think they said anything nasty or that could be construed as "picking on" or maybe im immune to it now.

LilRedWG · 14/01/2008 10:00

What Lissie said.

yogimum · 14/01/2008 10:12

I would just let it go over your head and ignore them. I got called "odd" last week, and also noticed she called someone else odd so I had a bit of a giggle about it.

mustsleep · 14/01/2008 10:14

i normally would just ignore it i think i'm a little over sensitive at the moment and just thought that they were so rude as they knew i would be looking at the thread again

who's been all nasty then?

Flightattendent with 14 pushchairs! Wow. They'd take up a bit of room wouldn't they? I don't know, never occurred to me to get a new one unless the one I had broke but then I'd rather buy myself new shoes than a new buggy tbh

I think shrug it off mustsleep if you can

Oh SSSSSSandy. You have as many sss's a I have LLL's!

I just like the mechanical aspect. Not into fluffy lime green anything but when something has a reversible handle and adjustable suspension, it really appeals to me just to buy it really cheap (because it is unheard of and unfashionable so goes on ebay for £30) and sit around fiddling about with the levers etc.

Call it a carryover from my motorbiking years

Not all of them are in one piece, you understand!

SSSandy2 · 14/01/2008 11:22

You sound a bit like my dad!

Can't believe I missed all your L's. Sorry, I honestly didn't see them!

FlllightAttendant · 14/01/2008 13:13

oh I didn't mean it like that about the L's, I only have 3 cos I flounced too many times and it won't let me have my original name back!! so I have to keep adding an L every time...

Bouncingturtle · 14/01/2008 13:15

So, FL, if a Mumsnetter needs a pushchair repair, then you'd be the one to contact! You should start a pushchair repair business

Tortington · 14/01/2008 13:17

stop feeling sorry for yourself and tell them to fuck off the rude bastards

FlllightAttendant · 14/01/2008 13:55

Lol Turtle, well if you would be up for gears on your buggy then give me a shout!

I am always happy to review them for people. Have tried quite a few Ok about 48 at last count...
