Ferne McCann - Red flags and love bombing

My guilty pleasure is a bit of reality TV 😊

I’ve been watching Ferne McCann: First Time Mum and I’m agog! Her new man has so many red flags, I don’t know why she or anyone around her can’t see it! Love bombing, future promising, it’s the classic behaviour of promising her everything she wants anytime things get hard.

The speed she’s moved him in and left him with her child is terrifying and she’s so full on with making him marry her, watching it is making me feel so uncomfortable.

I wish someone would tell her to slow down and relax. Focus on her child and hers of and not be so desperate to get married.

So if you watch it: AIBU to feel this way?

Also, I’m writing this as someone who fell for someone very similar, so maybe I’m just biased.

Glad I’m not the only one!

Been watching with an open mouth as EVERYONE around her is telling her how fantastic he is, how he’s the one, how they’ve never seen her like this, joining in with the pressuring to get engaged etc etc.

she is desperate for a family unit, I can’t see this ending well at all.

@PinkFizz1 I can’t believe they’re all really so onboard with it, surely off camera they tell her to calm down and give it some time.

He’s just one massive red flag.
Why was he in Dubai when he had a son in the UK?
What kind of job is ‘entrepreneur’ is that a nice way of saying unemployed!

It is so uncomfortable to watch! (And yet, here I am still watching!!)

I don't watch but it doesn't surprise me. It seems to me that a lot of high profile celeb/reality star relationships are like this.

It’s shocking how many men this woman has in and out her daughters life so quickly. Any of them could be the P word and she’d have no idea because she doesn’t get to know them first. There’s a rumour she’s already pregnant as the photos of her on Danielle Armstrong’s hen weekend show what looks like a very clear pregnancy bump. I think he’s another one who wants free money and fame personally.

I admit I haven’t seen this but wasn’t her ex convicted of throwing acid into peoples faces? I think she needs to go on some sort of freedom / self esteem type thing or something, she picks dreadful men.

I think he's quite nice actually and Sunday clearly likes him. Now the last bloke was a disaster, this one not so much.

He is awful. He was with Courtney Black (famous fitness trainer) in Paris a couple of weeks before he went public with Ferne. Just desperate for his 15 minutes of fame, and Ferne provided more chances for that than Courtney

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor it may have finished, I was catching up as don’t watch very often and I had a quiet afternoon.

I’m not judging him for the Coke pics in the tabloids, as I think everyone has a past and he seems to have moved on from that.

But she’s moved so quickly and seems so determined to make him fit her dream, it leaves her and her child very vulnerable to potential love rats /scammers and I do think he’s showing all the signs that this might be a possibility, promising exactly what she wants. Maybe he is genuine, but why the rush?

@Divamuffin oh, that doesn’t sound good!

I've just watched this and what I can't get over is the girls' faces. What have Billie, Danni and Ferne done to them? They look like weird mannequins. And they are still so young, what will they look like as they get older?
I agree the relationship is very weird. I feel so sorry for her. She is bright, beautiful, yet so needy. She hasn't said one thing she likes about him, just the fact he likes her. Oh, his hair! She wants to marry a man who agrees with her, has one topic of conversation (her) and has nice hair?

Thank God I have just read this thread. I was watching the latest episode tonight where she tells him “let’s put the wedding on hold and start trying for a baby” errrrm well …. a bit fast? I’m constantly Googling her name because I really want to see an article saying they have split up them I can say HA! told you so

I'm an avid Ferne fan. Well I watch, mainly in horror while she squeals head first into each new relationship. She does seem to follow the same pattern as Katie Price. I think Flozza may last longer as they seem well matched and he appears to be supportive of Ferne. Plus she finally seems to have got a grip on parenting Sunday. I'm not surprised at tonights episode ending with baby plans. After all we need to line up something for next season. I'm quite impressed with her on Celeb SAS too as I thought she'd be more precious. But she's really getting stuck in.
