He is the definition of abusive.
Outwardly charming and lovely. Has the joker, likeable funny persona (or so he thinks).
But he treats us badly as a nation.
Lies to us, gaslights us constantly, fails to apologise.
Alienates us from our friends and allies and makes it difficult for us to leave.
Financially abusive- reducing our income and keeping us on edge as to whether we can afford to live. Certainly makes it difficult for us to save and make plans to leave.
Promises us time and time again it will be different, he will do better, he won’t lie again. Then he does.
We are collectively being abused again and again. And like with DV victims we blame ourselves, we vote him in and give him chance after chance.

And yet again we cannot escape him despite knowing he’s hurting us.

Some of never chose to be in this relationship in the first place!!

Well said. I admit to having voted Tory at times, but he is an embarrassment - as are the cowards who didn’t vote him out tonight. I won’t be voting Tory in the next election.

YANBU @WhatsHoppening. His continued support is sunken cost fallacy. The English electorate have been repeatedly used and lied to while he behaves despicably and gets away with it. It really is mad to watch.🙈
