I've been reselling items via Thrift + for a while. Initally I thought that they were great with a model of the proceeds split equally between them, me and The Felix project - a food redistribution charity. Then I noticed that high quality designer items I sent in weren't being listed (and feedback suggested other people were having the same problem). More recently they have said that they are imposing a listing fee of £3.75 on top of a 35% comission on all sales including those previously listed. This was all really annoying. However the lastest scam is that I had listed an Armani prom dress with them and all of a sudden it was "retired" from listing. I queried this as others had noticed items disappearing. It was replaced with a different Armani dress which has now sold for £27 but I have been advised that the charity and I will only get £2 each from the £27 proceeds so Thrift have creamed off £23. AIBU to think that this company is scamming individuals who want to sell their clothes to help charities?
