DTD after c section

I had an ELCS 6 weeks ago and dh and I dtd for the first time yesterday. It was fine, no pain or anything. But today I've noticed some bright red bleeding. My post birth bleeding stopped a few weeks ago so it's not that. I wondered if it was my first period but it isn't heavy or continuous like my period usually would be and I haven't had any period pains either. It seems a bit of a coincidence for my period to start right after sex too but I suppose the time scale is about right.

Has anyone else had this after a c section? Could it be a result of having sex? Not sure where the bleeding would be coming from though :/

How much bleeding? I had VBs and had a little bit of bleeding after DTD both times, assumed it was because my cervix was still a bit fragile - did you go into labour before your CS? Maybe that might be the case for you?

My bleeding stopped and started after my c section, and my period didn't come back until about 5 months pp. I also had some after sex the first couple of times, figured it was just irritating it

Are you BF or FF? I FF & my periods were unpredictable & heavy for the first year after my emcs, my post birth bleeding didn't stop until 5 weeks & my periods started about 7 weeks, I had spotting & then flooding a couple of days later. Speak to your doctor if you are worried.

I'm formula feeding and no I never went into labour so its unlikely to be anything from there. My bleeding stopped about a week or so ago and by that point it was very light in colour and volume whereas this is bright red and although there isn't loads it's very noticeable on a pad. It probably is my period but the timing just feels very coincidental...

I experienced this 6 weeks after my c-section too. The light bleeding stopped after 1 day, it was brought on by sex but nothing to worry about as you are still healing.
