Is this normal? Night feeds

6 week old formula fed dd usually wants feeding every 2-3 hours during the day. At night however she is now usually only waking for one feed which means her sometimes going as long as 5 hours without a feed. I'm not complaining about this! But just wondered if it's normal. She cries during the day for her feed so is clearly hungry so how come she can go so much longer at night with no drama?

Mind all slept through by 6 weeks on formula but had extra feeds during daytime. I think it's dark and quiet at night so they don't wake

Yes that's normal, enjoy because it might change!

Enjoy while you can it might change. My son slept 11 hours at that age. Made up for it through the day.

My 6 week old is breast fed and only wakes up twice , he has a fed at 1 and 4, so he also goes 5 hours on his first stint

Good to know! I will enjoy it as it probably won't last forever...

My DD was formula fed and at 6 weeks was only waking once. By 8 weeks she was pretty much sleeping through. My two DSs we're also formula fed but took much longer to sleep through
