Please help me. I’ve posted before but nothing is working. I’m so desperate to go back on my meds and to be able to go out. 7 month old baby will not take formula. He will take water from a cup and bottle, but not formula he just spits it out and screams. He’s eating 3 meals a day but is still breastfeeding 4-5 times. I just want to be able to go back to work and to go back on my medication.

Can I please have some tips / advice from mums of stubborn babies.

Have you tried kendamil?

I'd also recommend Kendamil, they even do an organic one, and I believe it doesn't contain fish oil which is what makes most formulas smell bad. It also tastes sweeter them most as well.

Have you tried hand pumping? If you can keep persevering then you can mix formula with breast milk for a little while. I found hand pumps the best. You’ve obviously got plenty of milk so just finding the right pump. That’s your best bet

Have you tried different temperatures? Dc1 would only drink formula if it was really warm whereas the other only had it cold. It might be worth a try at different temps.

So I tried it again tonight with a drop of vanilla essence and he’s actually drank 2oz! Which is the most he’s drank since we stopped combi feeding!

I had success getting a formula hating baby to drink it by adding a drop or two of vanilla to mask the taste and am now reducing the amount of vanilla as she gets used to it.
