Just after lunch his phone went and he took it upstairs. Been up there for nearly an hour. He seems to be talking to a woman (I can hear her voice but no idea who she is!)

He doesn’t WFH: so it’s not a work call!

im so curious!!!! But would be super rude to walk into the room when he’s on the phone

Relative, sales person or friend? Could be literally anybody! Hopefully he won’t be much longer. And yes very rude to walk in, just wait!

PurpleDaisies · 02/06/2022 13:53

I would just stick your head round the door and ask.

Tothemoonandbackx · 02/06/2022 13:54

So you can hear hers but can't hear his????? Hardly an illicit affair if he knows you know he's on the phone, stop being such a nosey bugger!!!!

SVRT19674 · 02/06/2022 14:01

I ask, hey who is it? my husband answers: oh it´s so and so. Oh, right , says I.
Problem solved.

He was on the phone for AGES and hes never on the phone long....

I was imagining all sorts of excitement (call from long lost sibling... call from the spy agencies to join them, a fantastic secret lottery win)

it was just his ex colleague phoning to arrange a coffee date

I'd be suspicious of a female ex colleague wanting to arrange a coffee date.

Buttercupsx · 02/06/2022 18:31

Things are not looking good if one gets paranoid about a phone call. Suspicion should never ever cross one’s mind in a healthy relationship…ever

When someone’s on the phone. That’s so rude!

Why not just wait until afterwards.

Stylishkidintheriot · 02/06/2022 20:09

@Walesscales he’s always worked with women and often met current and ex colleagues for coffee. sometimes me and / or ds join them.

the particular woman he was speaking to is in her 70s

Regularmumnetter · 02/06/2022 20:18

Walk into the room then say “whoops sorry thought you had finished”

Stylishkidintheriot · 02/06/2022 20:20

@QOD no! Is there a thread on a similar subject ?

Stylishkidintheriot · 02/06/2022 21:10
