what is the best destination for teenage first time holidays

Posting for traffic. DS is 18 and looking to go on his first holiday alone with his friends this summer. He has his own job and I would be happy to contribute anyway so cost isn't too much of an issue but ideally somewhere realitivly cheap. What does he need to know in terms of flights, insurance, ect. What would be your recommendations for where your teens/young adult dc went for their first holiday alone?

I went to Zante for my first adult holiday with friends! It was fab, about £300 for cheap flights and a hotel. Obviously we did some drinking, but also days at water parks / swimming with turtles / quad biking. Was really really good. This was nearly 10 years ago though!

I'd say any greek islands can be good for a longer holiday or maybe Spain? Or if they're after a city break perhaps Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona or Berlin? Both easy to get to for a nice 3 day weekend, good mix of food / drink / culture (depending what they're after 😂). I've been to all of the above and they're all quick flights, fairly well priced and enjoyable.
