Just read a recent thread about someone complaining about teenagers next door playing loud music all day. Well my problem is having 2 adults next door playing loud music at different times of day. I had to move out of my old property due to landlord selling it, so I was lucky to find somewhere to live as it took me a long time to. However having just moved in, I have noticed the woman (a mother with two kids who doesn’t work) plays the radio loudly through the day, and her husband blasts rave music when he comes home after work - it’s like living next door to a night club.
Im working from home, pregnant and having a baby in about two weeks. It’s really stressful as I’m not able to accomplish anything, I have loads to do, and I’m tired enough as it is. I’m scared to confront them about it as they come across as intimidating (they’re always screaming at their kids too which is also frightening to me), so I’d be worried I’d get verbally abused by them, and I don’t want to get on the wrong side of them. Am I unreasonable to think I deserve some peace in my home? I could handle an hour here or there, but the fact that it goes on for ages with seemingly no end is really stressful for me. Any ideas what I can do? If I listen to music I either use headphones have it on quiet and it doesn’t blast through every room in the house for others to hear! I personally don’t understand how others can’t do the same. I won’t be at work for a year after I have the baby so don’t know how I will manage coping with this, as well as a baby! Moving is not a possibility for me for many reasons. Thank you.
