Rumbling stomach even after eating, loose poos smell Wheaty (sorry- gross), really smelly trumps (double sorry). All fairly new things since having a stomach bug. What's going on?!

It's really common to have bowel sensitivity after a stomach bug. I'd wait to see if it settled then a trip to the GP if not improving.

But nothing wrong with seeking medical help now - I'm very avoidant so tend to wait. Your GP would likely ask for a stool sample to rule out a bacterial infection.

Thanks for the reply. My mind is jumping from thinking it's nothing, to panicking that it's the worst case scenario. 🤦 I will stop ignoring it.

A course of good pre and pro biotics should sort this out , I use Bio kult (from Amazon) but others are available

Thanks for the suggestion - I will buy these for sure. I feel there's nothing serious but definitely something a little 'off'. I appreciate the advice!

It's very common to develop dairy intolerance after a stomach bug. It's usually temporary and passes much faster if you cut out dairy for a few weeks. Try cutting out all milk, butter, cheese, cream, yogurt for a couple of weeks. You shouldn't need to be as careful as someone with a milk allergy. If the symptoms resolve themselves, then give it a week or two before you start re introducing dairy. Start with hard cheese or yogurt, as they tend to be lowest in lactose, which is often the cause of the problem.

Actually, I don't know if the intolerance passes faster if you avoid dairy, or if it simply passes more pleasantly!

Oh lordy, I'm already a vegetarian with a big intake of dairy 🤦 never mind, I'll do what I have to, to get back on an even keel. I can't thank you all enough 🙏
