To feel disappointed?

Myself, my DP and DS have come to visit my parents who we very rarely see due to distance.

We arrived earlier this afternoon and now DS (4 years old) has started with a cough and is really out of sorts and tired, seems like he’s got a bit of a fever coming too.
I know none of this is his fault of course, or in fact anyone’s fault.
But we had so many plans while we are here, seeing friends and family I haven’t seen in months, trips to the seaside and a local church jubilee gathering.

Obviously I don’t know how he’ll be tomorrow or the next few days (we leave on Saturday) but AIBU for feeling disappointed?

Of course you’re not. Hope he’s better soon

It’s shitty, I would expect my DP to hang out with my kid and I would carry on with my plans!!!
