20dpo - had a period and now have a BFP? HELP

I'm so so confused

TTC #2

This month at 7Dpo I had a very faint positive on two separate tests.
Next day I started bleeding and had a 4 day normal period (I'm breastfeeding so my luteal phase is really short).

Assume I've had a chemical pregnancy and I am not surprised due to luteal phase -
Dust myself off and move on.

Today at what I assume is either 19 or 20 DPO I had some spotting which is strange for me mid cycle, I did another test (POAS addict lol) and there is a faint line, came up immediately.

I don't feel pregnant at all... no symptoms other than tiredness but I'm always tired I have a 16 month old that doesn't sleep...

I'm so super confused.

Can anyone shed any light? Photo attached

It might have been implantation bleeding? Although usually doesn't last long nor is heavy.

Just did a FRER surely if I was pregnant it would be a stronger line by now?

hmm, it doesn't look dark enough for 20dpo - could be that there are still hormones left over from if it was a chemical pregnacy? But it may be worth seeing if you can get referred for a scan at EPU. Your GP might advise you to wait two weeks and test again, but on the other hand it's basically been two weeks since your first + test.

Very hard to say anything conclusively! But bodies are weird, esp if you're breasfeeding, so you might still have a perfectly viable pregnancy. Good luck OP - I know it's such a rollercoaster.

I'm an idiot.

I've just looked at dates again. I'm anywhere between 13 and 15 DPO, not 20.

But the bleeding is really concerning me

Could be a chemical pregnancy. I've had a few. hugs

I would keep an eye out for signs of ectopic OP I’m afraid 😞this exact scenario is very common with ectopic pregnancies and as you probably already know, they can be dangerous.

I hope I’m wrong but just something to be conscious of www.nhs.uk/conditions/ectopic-pregnancy/

I just spoke to a doctor and she said she is confident it's not an ectopic at this stage due to no pain but i develop pain to obviously call.

She said people bleed in early pregnancy for all sorts of reasons and just to test again in 48 hours and if it's darker then it's happening.

I don't know what to think!!

Anyone had bleeding 7Dpo ish for 3 days and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

Wondering if the breastfeeding hormones have contributed to the bleeding.
