Aibu to feel a teeny tiny bit smug

So last night my partner and I went to a comedy club after he got free tickets when a large party didn't turn up .
It was a small venue and not many people so we were sat right at the front and kept getting "picked on " by the acts - were good sports and happily participated! It was very funny .

So at one point one of the acts asked about home births - now I had home births with my kids and his ex wife also home birthed so we gamely joined in and said yep - done the home birth thing .

The act then asked if it was together and we both quickly said no !
Act then went on to make jokes about the fact we said no so fast and was like "oh no -we're not breeding " etc to which I pointed out at the age of 50 my child bearing days are probably well and truly behind me .

Well he didn't believe me . He told me to fuck off 😂. He said I looked in my 30s . I was sat right at the front so either his eyesight was really bad or the lighting was really good 😂.

I've had a little spring in my step all day.

Partner is 6 years younger than me but even that's pushing it ...

I've had a really shit few years with one thing or another which I felt might have aged me so I felt a little uplifted - I am currently very happy so maybe that shows on my face 🤷🏻‍♀️.

And maybe the act was pissed or the light was in his eyes or something but I'll take that 😂

31 qnd was told I looked 39 the other day, and today was asked by a little boy who was coming over my DS who's 5 weeks old, if I had other children, I said yes a daughter. He said does she live in your tummy? I said no, she's a big girl, he looked perplexed and said, but your tummy is so big!

I feel every bloody year of how old I am
Anyway I was at work a few weeks ago and somebody asked someone else how old I was
'About 34 or about that' came back the answer
My manager overheard and laughed 'she's got a daughter who's 25!'
Nobody believed her and I was quizzed on how old I am and how old dd is when I came in a few days later
I'm 44-i had her at 19 (my birthday is in April and hers in may)
I was Oddly flattered lol

I used to HATE looking younger and I remember people saying to me I'd be glad if it one day 😂.

That's days now 😂

What was the sketch/joke about home births?

I was pissed 😂 can't actually remember the exact thread that led to home births and there was lots of audience participation cos the crowd was so small .....the act was a bloke who'd had home birth experience i recall....

They kept telling me my fella looked like mark Watson /David tenant / Jarvis cocker who all happened to my crushes so I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat 😂😂

When the aft said he looked like David tenant i whooped and said that's how he got the date 😂. Had a crush on DT since Casanova which of course they had t a clue about cos they were all youngsters 😂

Well done @stillvicarinatutu 👏 I remember one time, the comedian asked us how long we’d been together and I said 20 years which was true. The comedian actually looked astonished and stuttered ‘really, you’re joking aren’t you?’ I told him I wasn’t and he said he thought I only looked about 25 (I was 36 at the time) I too had a spring in my step 😆

It's nice isn't it ! Partner showed his mates my pic and they asked if I had Botox 😂

I have nothing against Botox and when the time comes I'd consider it but so far not found the need for it . I am very lucky with my face I guess . I have some decent bone structure but a full face (ie fat face 😂) so no wrinkles as yet . It will come I'm sure !
