CMPA advice?

Dd is 6 weeks old and is quite unsettled. I've spoken to the health visitor about the possibility of CMPA but she seems to think symptoms are non specific and not severe enough. She told me to contact GP but at this age I feel like I'll be fobbed off. Dd is formula fed on Aptamil. Symptoms are:

Crying a LOT during the day but not at night. Sometimes showing pain signs like bringing her knees up and becoming quite frantic. She brings her wind up easily so I don't think it's that.

Mucous in nappies possibly? I can't be sure as I don't really know what I'm looking for. But they sometimes seem a bit slimy. Colour and texture (yellow mustardy) is normal.

Sneezing. Not loads but enough that I've noticed.

Flaky skin on head. Wouldn't say eczema but definitely a patch of dry skin.

Because she hasn't been sick and is putting weight on nobody seems overly concerned. Perhaps I am looking too much into it? If your child has CMPA did they have any of these symptoms and at what point were they diagnosed? Thank you.

That doesn't sound like CMPA tbh. It sounds more like general 6 week newborn unsettledness.

There's a growth spurt at 6 weeks which can make them very grumpy.

The flakey skin is most likely cradle cap which is very normal.

Have a look at a book called your baby week by week. It's great for these early weeks.

If it helps, my son has CMPA as a newborn we had poor weight gain, vomiting after formula (fine after breast and I'm dairy free too) eczema and specific pain cries after formula. As he got older he'd have horrific sick poos after milk.

My DS was covered top to toe in eczema. Green mucousy diarrhoea. Projectile vomited feeds. Awful reflux.

Symptoms didn’t properly develop until he was a couple of months old but before that was generally a very unsettled baby. He cried for 3 days solid once.

it was hard work getting any help from the GP so in the end we went private.

My DS was covered head to toe in severe weepy eczema, he wasn't gaining weight (dropped to 2nd centile).

Every dirty nappy was explosive and went up to his shoulders. He was not able to settle at all and finally confirmed when I tried formula and he came out in hives.

My son had milder cmpa than the previous posters. He had mucous nappies ( take a photo and post it on here) essentially a mucous nappy looks like snot. He was also unsettled but never vomited and weight was fine.
Gps in my experience re often reluctant to diagnose.
Start keeping a diary of symptoms, it's often to do with a patern of symptoms so having your list will help when talking to GP.

Cough; congestion; wet burps; silent reflux; projectile vomiting; blood streaked poo (though mustard, not green), endless, violent hiccups.

Cut out dairy and everything went away except the silent reflux, though it did improve. I suspect she still has other allergies even though I've cut out coconut, strawberry, egg, fish, and soya from my diet.

Mucous, blood streaked poos then, at 6 months, hives. That's when we knew for sure.

Oh, and worsening eczema as well
