House party

There is a very loud house party going on. The music has been on since 7.30pm, and it is so loud it is genuinely vibrating furniture. They have a DJ in the garden!! People have been complaining on Fb and they have just announced the DJ is staying until 4am now...
Apparently people have phoned the council and they've just said that if it's a one off, there is nothing they can do. Surely people aren't allowed to have a party with a DJ in the garden until whatever time they choose?
I have to be up for work in 4 hours for a 12 hour shift Sad
Tempted to call the police but not sure if that's suitable

I'd go over and demand to join. Then call in sick to work.

I work in a Police control room. We get noise complaints every weekend. A lot don't get attended but something like you've described most definitely would. If the noise is as bad as you say it would probably be shut down straight away

Definitely worth calling 101 - and that's not something I say often

Thank you, I will do now then. It sadly is as bad as I describe. I'm not the fun police but this is honestly so bad. I'll let you know what they say

Another dispatcher. Definitely phone the police. They might not be out right away but will definitely attend. They gave powers to seize noise making equipment, although their presence is usually enough for people to see sense......usually.
