To want cheap ideas for days out with age gap?!

Can anyone help me think of good places to go with two teens and a 5 year old during the holidays? We live in Lancashire - willing to travel a couple of hours! The cheaper the better but can probably afford one more expensive day. I’m at a loss because of the age gap but want them to have a good week as we did nothing in the Easter hols because the little one had chicken pox!

Depending where about you are, I'm in west Lancashire. There is a great little place by us called The Creative Hub. It's basically a community project that teaches kids spray painting. My teens and my 4-9 yo nephews LOVE IT. £2 entry and then each tin of paint is £3. Protective clothing and Ventilator masks are included. You can do canvases too are as the wall. They are open mainly Sundays in holiday as mid week is school clubs.

You could combine it with a trip to Haigh hall in Wigan.

Crosby beach for the Antony Gormley sculptures Another Place, check the tides etc. Perhaps take a picnic?

@AdaColeman describing my childhood at Crosby beach and Martin Mere! Although I think Martin Mere might be a little young leaning for teens?

Walk along a Roman Road at Blackstone Edge. Wear sturdy shoes, take a picnic!

@Thatswhyimacat I think there would be things of interest to teens & adults at Martin Mere, it isn't only feeding the ducks is it? 🦆 🦆 🦆 🦆 🦆

This lass gets out and about a lot! Lots of recommendations if you scroll down, many parks mentioned are free.
Chester zoo is great but nearly 100 quid for a family whereas Monkey World in Stoke is awesome.
Crosby Beach combined with Liverpool.
Yorkshire Sculpture park.
