To ask about multi cookers

JesusSufferingFuck22 · 28/05/2022 14:27

I have been considering getting a multi cooker for a long while now but am a bit swamped with all the information.
I know what I want my multi cooker to have/do.

-pressure cooker
-air fryer
-easy to clean, preferably in dishwasher.
-dehydrator
-feeds 4-6

Only one person I know in real life has one and they love it but they use it a bit differently than I would.

I would need to rearrange my kitchen big time to accommodate it so I'm asking here for some sage advice from Mumsnet. Thanks Smile

I have also been looking. The trouble I have is that we have 4 adults here, 3 men and myself and cannot see if I can cook a whole meal in one of these. A friend of mine has a multi cooker, but there’s only 2 of them and they mostly live on pasta, chicken and chips. One of my adult sons likes to cook, so would suit him, as he sometimes puts the oven on for 30 minutes just for a few bits of chicken.

Yeah, I'm trying to reduce the oven going on for small amounts of things. I also love fried stuff but my stomach says no. I want to make my own vegetable crisps and spring rolls with less fat! I make chicken stock regularly but in the slow cooker. I sometimes borrow a pressure cooker from our work kitchen to make it but it's a bit of a faff lugging it back and forth.

Can't decide if an air fryer would keep me happy and I can do without the other stuff.

We're typically not a family that buys fad (kitchen) appliances and then not use them!

Ninja Foodi.

I shall just leave this here as I have nothing more to say!

Ninja

I don't have one, but I would go for the ninja foodi. I have an instant pot and an air fryer. Had the foodi existed before I got my instant pot, that's what I would have bought.

If I had to choose between the air fryer and the instant pot, the air fryer would win. I don't use the instant pot that much now that I live alone.
