To love a bay window

I just love them. More light, more nosing potential without moving from the sofa. Had one in our first floor flat and I miss it now we've moved. Would I be unreasonable to put in a bay window into my upstairs lounge instead of the opening inwards Juliette balcony?

I love them too but probably wouldn't replace a balcony with one. Definitely understand changing a normal window though.

Depends if it suits your property style. Only certain properties suit bay windows.
Maybe get more interesting things in TV 😂😂

Absolutely love ours. We have a 300 year old cottage and it looks lovely surrounded by roses and a box hedge under the window. We have cushions on the window seat so its cozy.

I have two huge bay windows at the front of my house. They cost a fortune to replace, you have to pay for three windows effectively, ditto blinds. Mine face west so get direct sun from about 1pm onwards and both rooms are like a furnace in the evening in summer. They do let in a lot of natural light though, which I love. Remember that if you can see more when you look out then people can also see more when they look in!

I have a new build actually. I wonder if I'd need planning ?
