Ibuprofen a week after chicken pox - too soon?

My daughter has had chicken pox and her spots have been scabbed over for more than a week. Most have also not dropped off, there are only a handful that are still active scabs.
She's got another infection of some sort with lots of blisters in her mouth and a temp of 39 - possibly hand foot and mouth but we actually only had that three weeks ago just before the CP! - and I've just given her nurofen to help her sleep tonight as he mouth is really sore.
I'm anxious now...
Is that too soon? Should I have waited longer after the chicken pox?

Ate you not supposed to give Ibuprofen with CP? Is this a new recommendation?

Maybe it is still CP , I'd treat it as such especially as she still has scabs. CP can be really nasty.

Sorry I should have said most HAVE now dropped off.

I won't give anymore nurofen just in case. Yes there's a warning on the bottle - it can make chicken pox worse

I've just googled. I think I'd be inclined to speak to the GP tomorrow and double check all is ok. I wouldn't panic tonight if she's settled and asleep.

Thanks. I'm not overly worried about her, she's acting normally and happy in herself apart from the mouth pain. Will see how she is in the AM.
We've had eight weeks of non stop illness with both children and I'm so fed up of it.

It should be okay.
It's linked to increased symptoms of injection. However one dose shouldn't do anything. Just go back to paracetamol until you speak to the gp tomorrow/

Poor baby
